To sell Medicare products, you must first be certified by a nationally recognized certification authority. Among these, the America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) platform stands out as a premier provider of the Medicare + Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (MFWA) certification. This certification is a prerequisite demanded by the vast majority of Medicare carriers, ensuring agents are well-equipped to offer Medicare plans responsibly and effectively. 

Both new and returning agents must renew their AHIP certification annually, underscoring the importance of staying current with evolving Medicare regulations and guidelines.

The certification fee is $175. However, to support agents in this endeavor, Premier Insurance Contracts may offer discount codes to alleviate some of the financial burdens.

To become certified to sell ACA products, you'll need to complete the certification process mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).  This process is free of charge and must be completed yearly for both new and returning agents.
